Peters Family Farms

Krista Huettig and her partner started the farm in 2015 after leaving corporate jobs, initially serving friends and family. Over the years, they expanded to include more shares and sales outlets, reaching 50 weekly shares by 2021. The farm has evolved through trial and error to focus on providing high-quality produce to the community.

The farm employs sustainable practices to promote healthy plants and soil, ensuring a safe environment for their children. They never use non-organic pesticides on their produce and emphasize transparency and education about their farming choices. Most produce is hand planted and hand harvested to ensure maximum flavor and longevity.

In 2024, the farm will focus almost exclusively on the CSA business, with u-pick available only to CSA members. They will continue to grow canning produce for public sales and strive to educate customers about best practices. The farm's goal is to provide the freshest, highest quality produce, hand harvested and straight to the plate.
