About the Farm
Background
The journey began with vegetable gardens and expanded into participating in the local Farmers Market in Calhoun County. The positive experience at the market inspired the transition to Plasticulture farming.
Practices
The farm employs Plasticulture methods, which involve using plastic materials to cover the soil, helping to control weeds, conserve moisture, and enhance crop yields. Plans include expanding the growing space for more vegetables and trees, as well as incorporating High Tunnel Houses to extend the growing season.
The Rest
Canned goods are also available, and updates can be found on their Facebook page under Piedmont Produce.
