About the Farm

Background

Located just south of Lake City, Florida, the farm is run by Scott and Kay, who are committed to producing high-quality meats and eggs. They have built a reputation for humane, chemical-free farming and offer home delivery and attend the Haile Village Farmers Market every Saturday.

Practices

All animals are raised on grass or in woodlots, ensuring they receive ample sunshine and exercise. The cattle are 100% grass-fed and grass-finished, producing leaner meat. Pigs are allowed to root around in the woods, eating acorns, plants, and grubs. Broiler chickens are raised in small batches in floorless, moveable chicken tractors, moved daily to fresh pasture. Layers have 33 acres to roam freely, eating bugs and laying eggs in movable coops. The farm avoids chemicals, antibiotics, and hormones in all its practices.

The Rest

The farm offers home delivery within a 50-mile radius and sells products at the Haile Village Farmers Market. They also provide an RV park adjacent to the farm, offering a serene retreat with views of the farm animals and big-sky vistas. The RV park includes amenities like water, electricity, and a dog park.
