The ranch is operated by two brothers, Michael and Clarence, along with their spouses and children. Michael and his family manage the breeding and raising of calves in Sonoita, while Clarence and his family handle the finishing portion in Safford. The ranch focuses on the Corriente breed, a smaller Mexican breed known for its unique qualities.

The ranch exclusively raises Corriente cattle, a breed that has been shown through studies to produce beef that is naturally low in cholesterol, has less fat, low in calories, higher in crude protein, and lower in saturated fatty acids compared to certified Angus beef. The beef is also noted for its tenderness and juiciness.

Studies confirming the health benefits and quality of Corriente beef were conducted by non-biased parties at New Mexico State University, West Texas A&M, and Clemson University.
