About the Farm
Background
Ramblin' Rodarosa Grassfed Beef was born years ago from a dream to care for the land, restore it to its native state, and improve the habitat for Texas wildlife. Rodney and Melissa have loved their piece of Heaven in Coleman County, integrating livestock as part of their long-term management toolbox. After years of conservation work, they started their cow/calf herd to provide wholesome and healthy food to their community.
Practices
The farm employs a variety of conservation practices including brush management, cover crops, native grass plantings, and livestock water development. Their cattle are raised on native grass pastures, grazing year-round without supplemental hay and feed, ensuring the beef is truly grass-fed throughout the animals' lives. The farm is committed to transparency and proper labeling, emphasizing the importance of knowing where food comes from and how it is produced.
The Rest
Ramblin' Rodarosa Grassfed Beef is a proud member of the Go Texan network, the Farmer Veteran Coalition, and the Eat Wild network. They support the growing movement of food sovereignty, helping people have ownership of their food supply. Customers can purchase beef in various quantities, from one-fourth to a whole cow. The farm is veteran and woman-owned, dedicated to providing a sustainable, locally-raised food source that the community can rely on.
