About the Farm
Background
Raven Ridge Farm has been producing delicious organic vegetables for over 20 years. Initially certified organic from 2018 to 2020, the farm decided in 2021 to focus more on farming practices rather than maintaining the certification. Cassady Daley, with a background in Sustainable Foods and Bioenergy Systems, and Nathan Christianson, with a degree in cartography and a passion for sustainability, took ownership of the farm in 2017 after managing it for two seasons. They have since made significant improvements to the farm's infrastructure and land.
Practices
Soil health is the foundation of Raven Ridge Farm. The farm employs crop planning and rotation, minimal tillage, and nutrient and compost amending to maintain land vitality. These practices, along with a focus on sustainable land management, ensure the production of high-quality, nutrient-dense food.
The Rest
Raven Ridge Farm offers a 21-23 week CSA program and participates in the Kalispell Farmers Market. They also run a farm stand on their driveway from May to November. Cassady Daley is a member of the Kalispell Farmers Market Board of Directors, and both farmers are deeply committed to their community and the quality of their produce.
