About the Farm
Background
Root Orchards, located in the beautiful Mosier Valley within the Cascade foothills of the Columbia River Gorge, is an Oregon Century Farm with over 100 acres of sweet cherries. The farm has been in the Root family for five generations, continuing a legacy of cherry farming in one of the most scenic areas of the United States.
Practices
The farm emphasizes sustainable stewardship, focusing on maintaining healthy land to produce healthy food. The orchards feature young, small trees that are easily accessible for picking, and the farm employs practices that ensure the land remains fertile and productive for future generations.
