About the Farm
Background
Owned by the Kreitzberg and Redding families, the ranch is known for its purebred Black Angus herd that never leaves the ranch, ensuring a consistent and controlled environment for raising cattle.
Practices
The ranch employs a grass-fed system where cattle graze on the ranch’s own grasslands and hay, avoiding growth hormones, antibiotics, and confined feeding practices. The cattle are cold-branded and raised over a period of 20-24 months, significantly longer than the standard 14-16 months, and the beef is dry aged to enhance its quality.
The Rest
The ranch offers a variety of beef products including ground beef, ground chuck, and beef tenderloin in 1-pound packages year-round. Main products include whole and half sides of beef, as well as a half of a half. Local delivery to Salem and Portland is available regularly.
