About the Farm
Background
Dennis and Tammy Gallagher, a retired Marine and nurse respectively, began their farming journey in 2010 with 'regular' chickens, which evolved into a passion for 'fancy' chickens and rainbow eggs. In 2017, they expanded to include Nigerian Dwarf goats, leading to the establishment of their farm on 13 acres in Paige, Texas in 2019. They have been dedicated to designing, building, and refining their farm ever since.
Practices
Tammy spent nearly a year researching breeds, nutrition, parasite management, housing, and husbandry before acquiring their Nigerian Dwarf goats. Their approach emphasizes careful planning and scientific curiosity, ensuring the health and happiness of their animals. The farm is committed to providing high-quality raw goat milk and hatching healthy birds.
The Rest
Visitors can enjoy a stay in the Willow House Cottage, attend classes, receive hatching eggs by mail, or pick up new goats or chickens. The farm offers a herd share program for raw goat milk, with weekly pickups at the farm and potential future pickup locations.
