About the Farm

Background

Located in the heart of the Driftless Area near Viroqua and La Farge, WI, the farm has been operating a CSA since 2006. Over the years, it has grown to deliver CSA shares to over 35 different pick-up locations across multiple towns, including La Crosse, Sparta, and Madison. Known for its 20-week Summer CSA program, the farm also offers additional share options such as Fall Shares, Thanksgiving Shares, Coffee Shares, and Egg Shares.

Practices

Certified Organic through MOSA, the farm emphasizes supreme quality, freshness, and flavor in its produce by paying close attention to mineral balancing, organic matter, and soil fertility. The farm's philosophy revolves around preserving a sustainable farm ecosystem while raising a wide variety of organically grown vegetables. The CSA model fosters a deep connection between the farm and its community, encouraging member involvement through Worker Share programs and seasonal farm events.

The Rest

The farm hosts two annual events: a Spring Strawberry Pick and Farm Tour, and a Fall Raspberry and Pumpkin Pick and Potluck with a Hayride Farm Tour. These events aim to deepen the relationship between CSA members and the source of their food. Members also receive a weekly newsletter with farm updates, recipes, and photos. The farm aspires to educate and inspire community members about the origins and cultivation of their food.
