About the Farm
Background
Located in central Missouri, the farm has been dedicated to providing healthy, non-GMO food for families. Over the years, they have become known for their quality meat production, milk, and eggs. The family-run operation includes Dan, a full-time truck driver who helps out on the ranch, Kelly, the trucking company dispatcher, and their children Kylie and Cody. Kylie contributed significantly before heading to college, while Cody manages the sheep and ensures their well-being.
Practices
The farm raises animals on pasture without the use of antibiotics, growth hormones, pesticides, or chemical fertilizers. Their grass-fed beef cattle are moved to fresh grass daily, and the pastured pigs enjoy spacious paddocks, supplemented with raw milk and non-GMO grains. Meat chickens are raised in portable shelters moved daily, and free-range chickens produce non-GMO eggs. The farm employs four guard dogs to protect the chickens, sheep, and goats. Jersey cows provide raw milk, while Boer meat goats and Katahdin hair sheep are also part of the farm's offerings. Seasonal produce is available as well.
The Rest
Farm tours are encouraged, offering visitors a closer look at their practices. They deliver products on Tuesdays to Springfield, Ozark, and Branson. After several years of producing quality meat, milk, and eggs, the farm has decided to focus exclusively on sheep, moving away from pigs and cows.
