    About the Farm

    Background

Located near the Kootenai River in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, this small family farm spans 23 acres, with 4 acres dedicated to deer-fenced cultivation. Initially certified organic, the farm chose to drop the paperwork in 2010 but continues to adhere to organic principles. They have established a presence in the local community by selling their produce to local restaurants and participating in several farmers markets, including Bonners Ferry Farmers Market, Farmers Market at Sandpoint, Libby Farmers Market, and occasionally Hope Farmers Market.

    Practices

The farm operates with a strong commitment to organic farming methods, despite no longer maintaining official certification. This approach emphasizes the health of the soil, the quality of the produce, and the well-being of the surrounding ecosystem.

    The Rest

In addition to their market activities, the farm offers opportunities for volunteers, interns, and trades for produce, providing some volunteer housing and a small stipend. They are always on the lookout for extra help to support their operations.
