St. Andre Orchard, nurtured by the Rziha family, opened for business by appointment in the summer of 2017. Known for its outstanding taste and quality, the orchard sells fruit at farmers' markets in Atchison, Leavenworth, and occasionally St. Joseph. The orchard prides itself on handpicked fruit and a commitment to quality.
Practices
The orchard employs nature-friendly practices, using a fraction of the spray that commercial orchards use and avoiding systemic pesticides entirely. This approach ensures that the fruit is both delicious and safe for consumption.
The Rest
Visitors can schedule pick-your-own appointments through the website, and children can enjoy hand-feeding the sheep. The orchard also features a parody video made by the Rziha children, available on YouTube.
