About the Farm
Background
Brothers Cliff and Josh Stoltzfoos, born and raised on a farm in Lancaster County, started their journey with organic dairy and mobile-pastured chickens. Frustrated with inefficient equipment, they designed their own mobile chicken houses in 2009, which significantly improved their egg business. They shifted their focus from egg production to designing and building mobile chicken houses and broiler houses.
Practices
The chickens are moved daily across pasture in solar-powered mobile chicken pens, ensuring superior quality and nutrition of the eggs. The feed provided to the chickens is Non-GMO Project verified. The mobile chicken houses are designed to be efficient, automated, and easy to maintain, reducing labor and improving egg cleanliness and consistency.
The Rest
In 2015, a small egg washing plant was established, allowing the sale of Grade A eggs and offering custom egg washing and grading services for local farmers. The business now focuses on providing mobile chicken houses and broiler houses, featuring solar power, automatic feeding and lighting systems, and easy mobility.
