About the Farm

Background

Founded in 2015 by Alice Colman and Brian Cunningham, the farm is situated on 35 acres of fields and forest in Wilbraham, MA. Known for its wide variety of vegetables and cut flowers, the farm has become a staple in the community, offering produce through a roadside farm stand.

Practices

The farm employs organic methods, using compost, cover crops, and organic fertilizers to build soil fertility. Pest control is managed through crop rotations, row covers, and the encouragement of beneficial insects, rather than pesticides. Weed control is achieved using a tractor, hoes, and mulch instead of herbicides. The farm's ecosystem approach emphasizes diversity to build resilience, ensuring high-quality, nutrient-rich produce.

The Rest

The farm stand operates from June, open on Wednesdays from 2-6pm and Saturdays from 10am-2pm. Customers can shop in-store or pre-order online for Saturday pickup. Payment options include credit card, cash, check, or SNAP/HIP, with fresh produce and veggie/herb plants being HIP-eligible.
