About the Farm

Background

Located in the scenic mountain views of Southwest Virginia, Stormbrew Farm is located less than a mile from the VA Creeper trail and minutes from downtown Abingdon, Bristol, and Damascus. Known for its diverse offerings, the farm produces vegetables, cut flowers, and also cares for honey bees, laying hens, ducks, kitties, and Great Pyrenees dogs. The farm store offers prepared meals, flowers, produce, and local goods from area artists, farmers, and artisans.

Practices

Stormbrew Farm is dedicated to working alongside Mother Nature, employing methods such as companion planting, attracting beneficial insects, and mulching to control weeds. The farm strictly avoids the use of herbicides, insecticides, or fungicides. As a no-till farm, there is an intense focus on maintaining and improving soil health.

The Rest

Visitors can shop from the farm's cooler or pick their own flowers and vegetables from the public field. The farm also offers a variety of services including venue rentals, floral services, farm tours, wholesale ordering for chefs, private farm-to-table dinners, and take-and-bake meals. Additionally, the farm hosts numerous events and workshops, such as wreath-making classes and wine tastings.
