About the Farm
Background
Jason and Kimberly Zerkle, along with their three children, returned to their agricultural roots in 2007 by purchasing a 26-acre farm in Clinton County, Ohio. Initially a soybean field, the farm required significant work to transform into a vibrant pasture. The Zerkles, driven by a desire for high-quality, nutritious food, began raising grass-fed beef, pigs, and chickens. Their journey from suburban life back to farming has been marked by determination and community support.
Practices
The Zerkles are committed to producing clean, healthy food without the use of chemical sprays on their fields. Their cattle are exclusively grass-fed and are not given growth hormones. Antibiotics are used only when necessary to protect the animals' health, and regular vaccinations are administered to maintain herd health. The farm's philosophy centers on stewardship of the land and providing authentic, nutritious food from field to table.
The Rest
Visitors to the farm can enjoy the scenic beauty of green fields, grazing cows, field swallows, and lush woodlands. The farm also offers flower bouquets and home goods. Updates and more information can be found on their Facebook, Instagram, and website.
