About the Farm
Background
The farm is part of the Cincinnati Challenge Ranch, a faith-based residential program for men struggling with addiction and other life-controlling issues. The ranch was established in 1973 as a solution to the drug and alcohol epidemic, providing a structured and disciplined atmosphere for holistic character development, education, and vocational training.
Practices
The farm grows its raspberries organically, without the use of hazardous chemicals or pesticides. This commitment to organic farming ensures that the fruit is healthy and safe for consumption.
The Rest
Visitors can enjoy a peaceful picking experience in a valley below the Teen Challenge Ranch. The farm offers U-Pick opportunities on Saturdays from 8 AM to Noon, with different raspberry varieties available in summer and fall. Pre-picked berries are also available on U-Pick days. The farm provides picking containers at no additional cost, and amenities such as restrooms and cold bottled water are available on-site. Children are welcome, making it a family-friendly destination.
