About the Farm
Background
Located on 20 acres in Columbiaville, MI, the farm is owned and operated by a family with four boys. They have been raising pastured poultry and grass finished beef, focusing on providing high-quality, organic-fed chicken and 100% grass-finished beef.
Practices
The farm employs intensive rotational grazing, moving chickens daily to fresh pasture, and ensuring that all animals receive ample fresh grass and sunshine. Chickens are fed certified organic feed from a local farmer, and no antibiotics are used on any of the animals. The farm emphasizes the symbiotic relationships between chickens and beef to enhance the health and productivity of the land.
The Rest
In addition to meat, the farm offers seasonal products such as jams, jellies, and handcrafted deer tallow soaps. Plans to offer free-range eggs were set for spring 2014.
