About the Farm
Background
Rijk Gupta and Maura Desfosses bring a wealth of experience in horticulture and business management to their 10-acre farm. Rijk, with a background in horticulture from UMASS Amherst and mycology from UW LaCrosse, has worked in various horticultural fields, gaining extensive knowledge in growing ornamental, annual, and perennial plants. Maura, with a degree in Business Management from Providence College and 18 years of experience in an investment firm, oversees the business side of the farm. Together, they are passionate about growing high-quality, organic foods for their community.
Practices
The farm employs certified organic and no-till practices to cultivate a diverse range of plants. They focus on environmentally-friendly methods to ensure the health and quality of their produce. The farm also raises chickens for eggs and bees for honey, integrating animal husbandry into their farming ecosystem.
The Rest
The farm offers a variety of CSA options, including Flower CSA, Winter CSA, Spring CSA, Summer CSA, and Fall CSA. They also provide farm fresh eggs for pick up and gift certificates. The farm is committed to community engagement through farmers markets and offers opportunities to join their team.
