    About the Farm

    Background

Located in the woods of Efland, Timberwood Organics has been a staple at the Carrboro Farmer's Market since 1998 and expanded to the Chapel Hill Farmer's Market. The farm launched its CSA program in 2000, offering subscribers a weekly box of certified organic vegetables and herbs. In 2020, they introduced their own line of Hemp salves, tinctures, and freeze-dried products.

    Practices

Timberwood Organics adheres to certified-organic farming practices, ensuring that all produce is grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilizers. The farm emphasizes biodiversity by cultivating over 40 different kinds of vegetables, herbs, and melons each year. They also engage their community through u-pick events, allowing CSA members to harvest their own produce.

    The Rest

Timberwood Organics offers its products year-round through an online store and hosts three u-pick events each season for CSA members. Their commitment to organic farming has earned them the trust of many in the area, fostering a strong community connection.
