About the Farm

Background

Located on 40 acres in Citrus County, FL, this family-owned farm is known for its registered LaMancha dairy goats and dedication to producing raw goat's milk and cheese for animal consumption, as per Florida state law.

Practices

The farm's herd is tuberculosis/brucellosis free and CAE negative, with annual testing. Goats have year-round access to pasture, woods, and browse, and pastures are fertilized with composted manure without chemicals or pesticides. Milkers are fed whole grains only as needed, and the milk is free of growth hormones and antibiotics. Any goat requiring medical treatment is removed from the milking line.

The farm also produces a large line of natural handmade goat milk soaps and is a member of the Farm-to-Consumer Legal Defense Fund and the Weston A. Price Foundation.
