About the Farm
Background
The farm has been a haven for mango enthusiasts, offering a wide variety of mangos and other tropical fruits. Known for its organic practices, the farm has become a local favorite, especially during mango season from May to August. Despite not being officially certified organic, the farm maintains high standards of organic farming.
Practices
All fruits are grown organically, adhering to natural farming methods without the use of synthetic chemicals. The farm emphasizes the importance of soil health and biodiversity, cultivating a diverse range of tropical fruits including sugar apple, jak fruit, coconuts, atemoya, carambola, caimito, sapodilla, lychee, longan, jaboticaba, black sapote, mamey sapote, tamarind, and avocado. The farm also offers mango grafting workshops, sharing knowledge and techniques with the community.
The Rest
In addition to fresh fruit, the farm sells fruit trees, allowing customers to grow their own tropical fruits at home. The farm is open to the public on Saturdays from 9 am to noon for most of the year, with extended hours during mango season. Special events, such as mango grafting workshops, are also held periodically. The farm encourages visitors to share their tropical fruit stories and recipes, fostering a community of fruit lovers.
