About the Farm
Background
Located on 50 acres between Gallatin and Hartsville, Lebanon and Westmoreland, Walnut Hills Farm is known for its beautiful rolling hills dotted with walnut trees and its commitment to providing local, high-quality beef. The farm specializes in offering grass-fed, all-natural, dry-aged beef to both individuals and establishments, ensuring superior quality and flavor at a reasonable price.
Practices
The farm's pastured hogs roam freely and enjoy the yearly bounty of walnuts from the many trees on the property. Grass-fed livestock flourish on pastures free from herbicides, pesticides, or artificial fertilizers. Cattle are raised without added antibiotics or steroids, and calves are finished on a diet primarily consisting of grasses, local hay, and natural minerals. The beef is dry-aged for at least 21 days. Free-range chickens and eggs are produced without added antibiotics or steroids, allowing the birds unlimited freedom.
The Rest
All beef products are USDA-inspected and certified Natural by the State of Tennessee. The farm's meats and eggs, coming from grass-fed and pastured animals, are naturally leaner and healthier. Customers can enjoy the peace of mind that comes from knowing exactly what is in their food.
