About the Farm
Background
The farm's roots trace back to 1968 when it began with beef cattle and commercial hens in Forsyth County. Initially starting with four hen houses, the operation expanded in 1993 to accommodate 180,000 hens. The egg operation was the mainstay until December 2010. Over the years, the farm has transformed, converting old egg packing and cooler rooms into a farm store and offering various activities for visitors. The farm has been recognized as the Best of Forsyth for the last seven years.
Practices
The farm is deeply involved in the Georgia Farm Bureau and Cattlemen’s Association, attending workshops to enhance farming practices and land stewardship. They focus on Godly principles and aim to create a family-friendly environment. The farm plants approximately 3 acres of strawberries annually for U-Pick and hosts a pumpkin patch in the fall.
The Rest
Visitors can enjoy a hay ride covering over 150 acres, a petting zoo, and various seasonal events like a corn maze and fun park activities. The farm also offers a venue for parties and other events, and they accept all major credit cards. They emphasize creating long-lasting memories for families and the community.
