About the Farm
Background
Windflower Farm, run by Ted and Jan Blomgren, is located in the Taconic Hill country between the Hudson River and the Vermont border. Known for its community-supported agriculture (CSA) program, the farm has built a reputation for providing fresh, local produce to its members.
Practices
The farm emphasizes a close connection to the land, focusing on sustainable agricultural practices that support soil health and biodiversity. By working with the natural rhythms of the seasons, they ensure that their farming methods contribute to the long-term vitality of the environment.
The Rest
In addition to their vegetable shares, Windflower Farm collaborates with Elihu Farm to offer an egg share and with Lewis-Waite Farm to provide members with access to meat, cheese, and jams on a monthly basis. The first delivery for the 2024 season is scheduled for Tuesday, May 28.
