About the Farm
Background
The Westfield Area CSA has been a vital link between the community and Farmer John Krueger's Circle Brook Farm in Andover, New Jersey. Known for its dedication to delivering the finest organic produce, the CSA has grown to support over 12 other CSAs and area markets. Members have the opportunity to participate in the distribution process and visit the farm, fostering a strong connection between the farm and the community.
Practices
Farmer John Krueger and his team at Circle Brook Farm employ organic farming methods, focusing on growing a diverse array of heirloom vegetables. The farm's commitment to organic practices ensures that the produce is free from synthetic pesticides and fertilizers, promoting soil health and biodiversity. The farm's philosophy emphasizes the importance of sustainable agriculture and the benefits of consuming locally grown food.
The Rest
The CSA season runs for 24 weeks from June to November, offering members a variety of fresh produce delivered to convenient pick-up locations. In addition to vegetables, fruit and egg shares are available. The Westfield Area CSA also provides members with tips on cooking methods, storage, and recipes to make the most of their weekly shares.
