About the Farm
Background
For more than two decades, Wild Hive has been dedicated to creating high-quality grain products from the region where they are grown. The farm is known for sourcing, testing, growing, and milling regional grains to offer a range of products that bring delicious, nutrient-dense meals to families' tables.
Practices
The farm uses only certified organic, local grains in their mill, ensuring that no herbicides, pesticides, or GMO grains are used. All test plots are grown at or above organic requirements for certification for future seed. They are committed to the use of organic and heritage grains and are opposed to genetically modified seeds.
The Rest
The farm is not currently open to the public except for special events, but there are plans to develop a test kitchen and weekend milling demonstrations. The farm also aims to turn the mill into an interactive learning center. Community involvement is encouraged, and updates on timelines, photos, and videos are regularly provided.
