Established in the 1800s, this farm located on the Winooski River in Plainfield, Vermont, transitioned from dairy cows to Nigerian Dwarf Dairy Goats. The farm has developed a reputation for its high-quality goats and dairy products, with a focus on organic management and animal welfare. The farm's skincare line began in 2016 when the founder sought natural products for her family, eventually expanding into a broader farming operation with her husband in 2018.
Practices
The farm is organically managed, prioritizing the health and welfare of the land and animals. Goats and chickens are pasture-fed, enjoying fresh air and green grass. The farm follows holistic and humane practices, raising livestock on pasture and feeding them locally produced Non-GMO feed. Antibiotics and hormones are avoided to ensure the health of the animals and consumers. The skincare products are crafted using whole plant matter, infusing medicinal herbs into organic oils and butters for a minimum of eight weeks, ensuring a well-rounded infusion of the plant's healing properties.
