Located in the country in Kell, IL, this family-owned business has a rich history of growing and crafting gourds. They vend at farm markets in Salem, IL, and participate in fairs and festivals throughout the year. As Region 1 co-directors and Region 2 directors for the southern section of Illinois for the Illinois Gourd Society, they are also members of the American Gourd Society.
Practices
Gourd plants are grown outside, and dried gourds are stored in a barn. Inside their home studio, they transform these gourds into various decorative and functional items. They also teach gourd workshops to the public, sharing growing techniques and crafting methods.
