About the Market

Background

Managed by Uptown Reinvestment Corporation since 2002, the Flint Farmers' Market relocated to its new downtown location in June 2014. It has become one of the finest public markets in Southeast Michigan and a distinctive destination in Genesee County.

Practices

During the winter months, the market includes three produce vendors who utilize hoop houses to grow fresh, picked daily greens and salad ingredients, ensuring a year-round supply of local produce.

The Rest

Located next to UM Flint's downtown campus and across from Willson Park, the market is accessible from I-475, exit 7. It operates year-round, open every Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and every Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The market offers a welcoming atmosphere, friendly and knowledgeable vendors, enjoyable entertainment, and a rich variety of excellent products.
