About the Farm
Background
Founded in 1953 on a one-acre field as a family garden by the great grandfather of the current owner, this farm has grown through four generations of vegetable farmers. Initially a small family operation, it has expanded to a 10-acre farm in Coventry, RI, while still maintaining the original one-acre field.
Practices
Utilizing organic and natural methods, the farm eschews chemicals and pesticides, relying instead on practices such as cover cropping, composting, and crop rotation. Fertilizers used are entirely natural, ensuring the health of the soil and the produce. The farm also raises free-range chickens for organic eggs.
