About the Farm
Background
Established in the Fall of 2016, Black Finger Farm has become known for its community-focused approach and diverse range of approximately 35 different vegetables and fruits grown on 1 acre of cultivated land.
Practices
Utilizing compost, organic fertilizers, and cover cropping, the farm maintains fertile soil without the use of pesticides, herbicides, or synthetic fertilizers. Small scale farming techniques combined with lo-till practices are employed to produce healthier plants and enhance biological life within the farm's ecosystem. Weed control is managed manually using hoes, flames, and hands.
The Rest
CSA Memberships are available for those interested in regular access to the farm's produce. The farm's name is inspired by the dirty, black fingers resulting from a long day's work in the fields.
