About the Farm
Background
Twelve years ago, the founders were running a farm-to-table restaurant in Eastern Oregon, which evolved from a small farmer’s market food stand into a full-service dinner house. Their love for local, high-quality food led them to appreciate Northwest food producers. In 2014, they moved to the Oregon Coast, built a 24' wooden dory, and transitioned into commercial fishing.
Practices
The company operates a single boat with a two-person crew, hand harvesting Dungeness crab, wild clams, and mussels. They collaborate with other local day boats to offer hook-and-line caught species like rockfish and lingcod. As licensed wholesale fish dealers and shellfish shippers, they sell directly to restaurants, retail shops, and other licensed dealers. Their boat, F/V Storm Trooper, was designed and built in 2015 in Brighton, Oregon.
The Rest
Their wild-harvested products are generally caught to order and featured seasonally at local and Portland restaurants and retailers. The founders' journey from running a restaurant to commercial fishing highlights their deep connection to food and the natural bounty of Oregon's coast.
