About the Farm
Background
Since 2007, the CSA has partnered with Sang Lee Farms, a Certified Organic Vegetable Farm located on the North Fork of Long Island. Over the years, the CSA has grown to include a variety of shares, including vegetables, fruit, cheese, and ready-to-eat products, fostering a strong community connection in the DUMBO neighborhood of Brooklyn.
Practices
The CSA sources its produce from Sang Lee Farms, which is certified organic, ensuring that all farming practices adhere to strict organic standards. This partnership emphasizes the importance of organic farming methods that promote soil health, biodiversity, and ecological balance.
The Rest
The CSA operates for 24 weeks from June to November, with members picking up their shares every Wednesday evening. Each member is required to staff two pickup shifts per season, fostering a sense of community and shared responsibility. Early bird signups received a free insulated bag, and the new pickup location is at Etsy, 117 Adams St, Brooklyn, NY.
