About the Farm
Background
The farm is located on 25 acres in Frederick, Maryland. The journey began with a love for crafting, weaving, and dyeing, which led to the acquisition of Angora goats 17 years ago. Fine wool sheep were added 8 years ago, and the farm has since been producing its own yarn. The owners moved from California to Oregon before settling in Maryland.
Practices
Chickens are cage-free and pastured on organically tended orchard and pasture grasses. The farm emphasizes the harmonious blending of colors in their hand-dyed yarns, inspired by photographs and nature. The focus is on creating beautiful, functional textiles while maintaining a deep connection to the land and animals.
The Rest
The farm offers a variety of fiber products including mohair and wool/mohair blend fleece, batts, roving, and yarn. They also provide educational resources and courses on dyeing and fiber arts, aiming to inspire and nurture creativity in others.
