About the Farm
Background
Foster Farm has been in the family for over 60 years, maintaining a tradition of raising cattle in a humane and natural environment.
Practices
Cattle graze year-round on 120 acres of pesticide and herbicide-free pastures, feeding on native wild grasses, coastal Bermuda grass, oat and wheat grasses in winter, and fresh hay from the farm's own fields. No antibiotics or hormones are used, and cattle are provided with natural minerals and diatomaceous earth.
The Rest
The farm offers beef by the half or whole steer, delivered directly to the butcher for processing according to customer specifications. Pricing is based on hanging weight, with an additional processing fee paid to the butcher.
