About the Farm
Practices
The orchard integrates beekeeping into its operations, using bees for pollination and producing clover and wildflower honey. The beeswax from the hives is crafted into candles, emphasizing a hands-on approach to production. Additionally, the orchard is engaged in grafting heirloom apple varieties, some dating back to colonial times, to preserve and offer unique apple experiences.
The Rest
Visitors can enjoy the natural beauty of the orchard, including one of the oldest and largest maple trees in McHenry County. The store also features a collection of over 200 WWII books, airplane models, and Hollywood movies, providing a unique shopping experience. Dogs are not allowed in the orchard due to insurance reasons.
