About the Farm
Background
House in the Woods Farm is a family-owned farm that has been operating for over 20 years. Phil and Ilene Freedman run the farm with a focus on community-supported agriculture, allowing members to pick up produce directly from the farm and engage in various farm activities.
Practices
The farm is certified organic, emphasizing the importance of organic farming methods. Members can witness the entire planting to harvest process and participate in activities such as potato harvesting and garlic planting. The farm also grows organic heirloom seedlings for home gardeners.
The Rest
Located near Adamstown, Maryland in Frederick County, the farm offers tours and classes by request and sells produce to limited wholesale clients. They are currently accepting new CSA members.
