About the Farm

Background

Keith and Sheri, originally city dwellers from Texas and Arizona, transitioned from corporate careers to farming after their daughter's health challenges led them to explore traditional cooking and organic farming. They purchased a 20-acre farm debt-free and moved to Missouri, where three generations now work together. Since 2014, they have raised food for local co-ops and developed a non-toxic line of goat milk products named 'Kailyn's Natural' after their daughter.

Practices

The farm employs organic methods, avoiding synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, and GMOs. They focus on soil health through crop rotations, composting, and livestock rotation. Laying hens are used to eliminate waste by consuming vegetable scraps and providing eggs, fertilizer, and natural pest control. The farm operates a symbiotic, synergistic production model that enhances productivity and aesthetic appeal.

The Rest

The farm offers a variety of products including garden produce, pasture-raised poultry, eggs, honey, baked goods, handcrafted jams and preserves, and personal care products like soaps and goat's milk lotions. Their farm store opened in the summer of 2017, and they plan to offer online ordering and shipping for personal care products. The farm emphasizes stewardship of the land and the valuable life lessons learned through farming.
