About the Farm

Background

Fourth generation South Dakota farmers have developed a diverse and innovative endeavor, raising over three hundred different varieties of vegetables, herbs, fruits, and flowers each year. Known for their excellent tasting produce, they have earned a reputation for demanding excellence in every aspect of their operation.

Practices

Utilizing sustainable and new vegetable farming practices such as multi-cropping, cover crops, plasticulture, and trap crops, the farm also extensively uses high tunnels to extend the growing season into early spring, late fall, and winter. Continual experimentation with new plant varieties includes both traditional American and ethnic types of produce.

The Rest

In addition to CSA's and Farmers Markets, the farm supplies fresh produce to several restaurants and specialty whole foods markets. They are also a partner in HarvesTable dinners, a fine dining experience in eclectic outdoor settings featuring locally produced foods.
