About the Farm
Background
Maveric Heritage Ranch Co. was established with the mission to raise and preserve rare breeds of livestock. The farm is known for its dedication to conservation, genetic diversity, and public education. Over the years, it has become a sanctuary for breeds such as Belted Galloway cattle, Arapawa goats, Jacob sheep, Mulefoot hogs, Guinea hogs, and various heritage poultry.
Practices
Livestock at Maveric Heritage Ranch is primarily raised on pasture, allowing them to graze and benefit from a grassfed diet. Most of the animals are on a grain-free diet and are raised without the use of drugs, growth hormones, stimulants, antibiotics, or other chemicals. This approach ensures the health of the animals and the integrity of the meat produced.
The Rest
Meat is typically sold by the half or whole, with orders taken in advance. Customers are encouraged to call the ranch to inquire about current prices and to reserve their orders.
