About the Farm

Background

Lower Meadow Farm, LLC is owned and operated by siblings Mallory and Jacob Krieger. Situated 1.5 miles east of Fishhook in Pike County, IL, the farm spans 85 acres of fields and woodland.

Practices

The farm is completely chemical-free and employs practices that minimize environmental impact. Species diversity is utilized to improve soil and ecosystem health. Only open-pollinated seeds, primarily heirloom varieties, are cultivated.

The Rest

An assortment of vegetables and herbs is grown for sale through a CSA program in Fairfield, IA, which runs from June to September.
