About the Farm
Background
Madison Growers has been dedicated to supplying the central Mississippi area with fresh produce for several years. Known for their hands-on approach, they take pride in the individual care given to each crop and the high yield they achieve per acre.
Practices
All crops, except sweet corn, are produced on raised bed black plastic mulch with drip tape and liquid fertilizers. The farm emphasizes food safety and employs methods that ensure the health and quality of their produce.
The Rest
The farm boasts over 5,000 square feet of cooled warehouse space, a hydro cooling unit, and a truck loading facility. They grow a variety of crops including sweet corn, watermelons, cantaloupe, tomatoes, squash, zucchini, cucumbers, and several varieties of bell peppers. Plans for starting a CSA were mentioned for the future.
