    About the Farm

    Background

Owner/operator Megan Haney has over 20 years' growing experience, having completed in 1990 an Apprenticeship in Ecological Horticulture at the University of California's renowned Farm & Garden School, the nation's oldest formal program providing training in the concepts and practices of organic gardening and small-scale farming.

    Practices

Using only safe, time-honored growing practices such as crop rotation, cover crop and green manure growing, and plant- and rock-based powders to feed the soil and plants, the farm avoids pesticides and herbicides.

    The Rest

Vegetables are marketed on-site at the farmstand, along with pasture-raised beef, pork, chicken, lamb, eggs, apples, and pears raised by neighboring farmers. Customers can choose between a CSA and a weekend market-style farmstand, with a midweek honor system allowing self-service for salad greens, tomatoes, potatoes, garlic, squashes, cucumbers, and other produce.
