About the Farm
Background
Located just outside of Paducah, Kentucky, McCombs Farm has become a staple in the community for offering high quality, pasture raised meat and eggs. They have expanded their offerings over time to include not just chickens, but also pigs and Thanksgiving turkeys.
Practices
The farm's animals are never given antibiotics or hormones and are fed high quality Non-GMO feed. Chickens free range and are rotated to fresh pasture daily. Pigs are raised on pasture and woodlands, where they forage and eat acorns, and are moved to different paddocks every week. Thanksgiving turkeys are raised in the same manner as the chickens.
The Rest
McCombs Farm is present every Saturday at the Paducah Farmers Market and is exploring the possibility of starting CSA programs in surrounding areas. They also offer delivery services directly to customers' doorsteps.
