About the Farm
Background
Steve and Susan Bailey own a 35-acre farm in the Mt. Pleasant community of Amherst, Virginia. Known for producing high-quality hydroponic microgreens, lettuce, greens, and herbs year-round, they pride themselves on being good stewards of the environment.
Practices
Using a state-of-the-art greenhouse and a closed-loop hydroponic system, the farm grows plants with precise amounts of water and nutrients, conserving water and eliminating the need for herbicides, pesticides, or preservatives. The climate-controlled facility ensures year-round production, and the water filtration and sanitation system keeps irrigation water free of harmful bacteria.
The Rest
The farm offers local delivery in Amherst County, Nelson County, and the City of Lynchburg, as well as free curbside pickup in Amherst, Virginia. An Autoship Subscription Plan allows for regular deliveries, and the produce is guaranteed fresh for 14 days after harvest. Customers can earn store credits and discounts through referrals and subscription plans.
