About the Farm

Background

Mud Creek Farm was founded in 2009 by Erin Bullock on McMahon Rd. in Victor, starting with 80 members and growing to about 300 members over the years. In 2013, Farmer Ruth, who had a background in organic farming and CSA operations, took over the business and relocated it to Cherry Street, transforming the land from a sea of weeds into a thriving farm.

Practices

The farm adheres to all organic practices and takes the NOFA Farmer's Pledge to demonstrate their commitment to organic farming. They focus on improving soil health and sustainability, ensuring that farming is also sustainable for farmworkers. The farm offers a large pick-your-own section for CSA members, which includes a variety of vegetables, herbs, and flowers.

The Rest

CSA members can pick up their shares weekly or bi-weekly from mid-June through October, either at the farm or at Abundance Food Co-op in Rochester. Members also have unlimited access to the pick-your-own section. The farm aims to feed the community with healthy local produce and provide a space for community engagement and learning.
