About the Farm
Background
Pembrook Farms is a small family farm known for its dedication to producing healthy, natural food. Over the years, they have built a reputation for offering high-quality pastured poultry and pork, as well as organic non-GMO sweet corn and handmade soaps.
Practices
The farm employs organic and humane practices, avoiding antibiotics, GMOs, hormones, pesticides, herbicides, or chemicals. Poultry is raised in small flocks and moved to fresh pasture daily, fed sprouted greens and certified organic soy-free feed. Pigs are raised on grass from birth, enjoying a life of sunshine, fresh air, and lush pasture, and are fed excess organic farm produce, eggs, fodder, and certified organic non-GMO feed. All animals are treated with respect and care from day one up to and including processing.
The Rest
Pastured soy-free organic eggs are available year-round, with fresh chicken available by order from late April through October and frozen year-round. Heritage breed turkey is available fresh or frozen the week of Thanksgiving, with pre-ordering recommended. The farm also offers a CSA option for organic non-GMO sweet corn from June to August and produces natural handmade soaps using essential oils, organic oils, herbs, and botanicals.
