About the Farm
Background
For over thirty years, the farm has been dedicated to raising cattle, transitioning to offering grassfed beef in 2007 after several years of feeding their own family this way. The farm is located 20 miles south of Waco, TX, on 630 acres of prime river valley farmland.
Practices
The farm raises all-natural, grassfed beef without the use of grain, grain supplements, hormones, steroids, or antibiotics. The cattle are bred, born, and finished on open pastures, managed humanely, and harvested at 18 to 24 months old. The farm makes its own hay and utilizes both summer and winter pastures for grazing.
The Rest
The beef is available by the calf, side, or quarter in April, May, and June, and by individual cuts year-round. Orders can be picked up at the ranch or the processor in Westphalia, Texas, with delivery available to Waco, Bryan/College Station, and Austin areas for a fee. The farm also offers custom-cut options and vacuum-sealed packaging. Visitors are welcome to the ranch to learn about the science of grassfed beef.
